Interested in international affairs? Undergrads Invited to Join Model United Nations Team

The Nova International Relations Association (NIRA) is NSU’s award-winning Model United Nations team in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Established in 2012 by a dedicated group of political science students, the team is open to undergraduates of any major or college who are interested in international affairs and creating solutions to global issues.

NIRA participates in regional Model U.N. Conferences and hosts an annual on-campus conference for Broward-area high schools each fall. According to faculty advisor, G. Nelson Bass, J.D., Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of History and Political Science in NSU’s College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS), NIRA provides an excellent opportunity for students to grapple with complex international issues while at the same time equipping them with valuable research, writing, and public speaking skills.”

Students who want more information are encouraged to contact the faculty advisor or one of NIRA’s Executive Committee.
