Interest in NSU Programs Soars during Tampa SEC Open House
The Summer Open House held at the Tampa Student Educational Center on July 25 was a huge success with more than 100 people attending. The program interest was wide ranging across undergraduate and graduate programs in Business, Psychology, Counseling, Education, and Health Care Sciences. Long after the formal session of the event ended many persons remained to get more details and to have their individual questions answered.
The Tampa team of Racquel Khuri – Director, Kimberly Shaw – Assistant Director, Beverly Favero – Financial Aid Counselor, Sheena Zawacki – Assistant Director of Students Affairs, and Michael Peterson – SGA President pulled out all the stops to ensure a successful event. They were ably assisted by Sue Ohrablo, Ed.D., Chip Turner, Ed.D., Cedric Thompson, and Sally Spooner, D.HSc. faculty member for the College of Nursing, who all traveled in from the Orlando site to participate in the Tampa Open House.
Some members of the public who were not able to make it to the event on Thursday evening visited the NSU SEC early on Friday morning. Some who attended the event, but were eager to get more information – such as the person who had driven 7 hours from Pensacola on Thursday, returned on Friday morning to take advantage of a one-on-one consultation.
