Institutional Review Board to Launch New Electronic Submission System
In order to better serve our students, faulty, and staff in conducting research involving human subjects, the Institutional Review Board (IRB) will be switching from a paper-based system to a web-based submission form. This new system enables NSU’s research community to submit research protocols for review instantly from anywhere with an internet connection. The electronic system will streamline the process and increase efficiency.
The new system, IRBManager, meets rigorous standards for FDA, OHRP, OCR and other federal regulations for electronic submissions. The launch date for new submissions with this system is June 1 and the IRB will stop accepting paper submissions in Fall of 2015. Training opportunities will be made available in order to assist researchers with this transition to a web-based form.
To register an account using your NSU email address, go to https://irbmanager.becirb.com/Login.aspx, and login as “newuser” password: “newuser,” and client: Nova. The program will then lead you through the process of registering your Nova email address and creating a unique user profile.
