NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine (INIM) will host its monthly Research Seminar Series on the first Friday of the month. All seminars will be broadcast to regional campuses.

Join us Friday, November 6, in the Chancellor’s Dining room of the Terry Building at 12 – 1:30 p.m. as Gail Ironson, M.D., Ph.D., professor of psychology and psychiatry at the University of Miami presents “Spirituality and Health.” Ironson is a board-certified psychiatrist with nearly 200 publications in the areas of behavioral medicine, spirituality, trauma treatment, positive psychology, and stress management and coping with chronic illness. She also has covered topics including HIV, cancer and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS). Ironson is currently working on a National Institute of Mental Health-sponsored study treating trauma in people at risk for HIV and a national Templeton study examining biological mechanisms of spirituality and health (The Landmark study), for which she is one of five lead investigators.
