Institute for Franchise Education Hosts Executive Leadership Summit

Barry Barnes, Ph.D., the professor and chair of leadership in the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, (standing) looks on as participants in the Executive Leadership Summit engage in a building block activity designed to “unblock” their create juices.

“Don’t Just Survive…Thrive!” was the theme for the third annual Executive Leadership Summit hosted by the International Institute for Franchise Education on April 23 and 24 in the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

The focus was on challenges and opportunities specific to C-Suite executives of franchise systems and included topics such as jumpstarting creativity and innovation, the effect of the economy on franchise systems, and how to increase value in a growth business. In addition, the results released from the annual Franchise Executive Leadership Monitor, a survey and analysis of current challenges faced by franchise executives.
