Information Systems Student Presents Paper and is Published for Work in Cloud Computing

Wayne Pauley, a Ph.D. candidate working on his dissertation in information systems with professor William Hafner, Ph.D., at NSU’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, co-authored a paper he recently presented at the Usenix HotCloud 2010 conference in Boston.

The paper titled “Toward Risk Assessment as a Service in Cloud Environments” was accepted as one of 17 out of more than 75 submissions. The paper was co-authored with Pauley’s committee member Burton Kaliski, Ph.D., Founding Scientist of RSA and colleague at EMC Corporation. The paper can be found at http://www.usenix.org/event/hotcloud10/tech/.

Pauley is also currently an adjunct professor at Franklin Pierce University and does Global Sales at EMC Corporation. His paper called “Cloud Provider Transparency-An Empirical Evaluation” has also been accepted for publication in the upcoming November issue of the IEEE Security & Privacy Special Edition on cloud computing.

He can also be seen speaking at the International Association of Privacy Professionals Academy (IAPP) this upcoming September in Washington D.C.
