Inaugural Medallion Achievement Reception Welcomes Students to Campus

NSU’s Enrollment and Student Services (ESS) Office of Undergraduate Admissions hosted nearly 400 prospective students and family members for the inaugural Medallion Achievement Reception on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. The event drew high school students whose academic achievements already qualify them as Florida Bright Futures Medallion Scholars.

Guests enjoyed a reception while talking with deans, faculty and other university representatives to learn about academic opportunities and admission requirements. ESS Vice President Stephanie G. Brown, Ed.D., welcomed the crowd and addressed the families. In addition, attendees heard from deans Don Rosenblum, Ph.D. (Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences), Marcella Rutherford, Ph.D. (College of Nursing), and Assistant Dean Dennis Dannacher (H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship) who highlighted programs in their respective colleges.
