Survive financially during the Holidays – Human Resources to host Free Seminar, Nov. 18
NSU’s Office of Human Resources will host, “Surviving the Holidays,” a financial education seminar on Nov. 18 from noon to 1 pm at University Park Plaza North Building, room 108. Lunch will be provided.
Participants will gain insight into how to avoid excessive debt and credit problems during the holiday season. The seminar will explore the pros and cons of using credit; determining how much credit you can afford; how to build a positive credit history; as well as review updated credit rights. Participants will learn to simplify their holiday shopping and spending mistakes using money management techniques and creating a budget that will give them control of their spending.
The guest speaker is certified personal finance counselor Bill Plough, community outreach trainer at Consolidated Credit Counseling Services, who has over 30 years of experience in diverse financial matters and civic initiatives.
