Human Resources to Host Free Seminar on Credit
NSU’s Office of Human Resources will host, “Learn to Live Debt Free and Within Your Means,” a financial education seminar. The seminar will teach you how to successfully manage money and avoid credit problems. The participants will learn money management techniques that will give them control of their money and help them plan for a successful financial future. The seminar will help people create and use a successful budget and provide proven strategies for avoiding excess debt and credit problems. The seminar will provide pros and cons of using credit, how much credit they can afford, how to build a positive credit history, and updated credit rights. The seminar concludes with a lesson on the fastest growing federal crime in the country: identity theft. It will provide steps one can take to minimize the chances of personal information being stolen and steps to take if you are a victim.
The free seminar, which is opened to faculty and staff, will take place at the Carl DeSantis Room 1048/1049 on July 19, 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Lunch will be provided.
