Huizenga School Professor Visits the Virtual University of Pakistan and COMSATS Institute of Technology
Bahaudin G. Mujtaba, D.B.A., professor in the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, recently presented & facilitated a two-hour workshop at the COMSATS Institute of Technology in Lahore, Pakistan. The presentation to the faculty, master’s and doctoral students of management science was on the topic of “Graduate Research Challenges, Imperatives, Tools and Techniques to Earn the Degree.” The lecture lasted 90 minutes followed by a lively discussion, contributions and suggestions on successful research for graduate students.
Immediately following, Mujtaba and Talat Afza, Ph.D., head of academics and research at COMSATS, interviewed Naveed Malik, Ph.D., the founding rector and chief executive officer of Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP), which has over 100,000 online students in Pakistan and 52 other countries. VUP, which is a public sector open university, has state-of- the-art technology along with a comprehensive learning management system (LMS) and it is considered to be one of the best virtual universities in the world. The 90 minute interview was professionally video-recorded at VUP’s studio and its transcripts will be published as an Executive Interview in the Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship in 2013.
Bahaudin was also an invited speaker by the Superior Group of Colleges to lecture to graduate business and management students on the topic of “Twenty-First Century Management Practices.”
