Huizenga School Professor Speaks at the Weston Rotary Club

Bahaudin and Shari at Rotary Club - Next to 4 Way Test banner at Weston Club- 8 1 13

Bahaudin G. Mujtaba, D.B.A., and Shari Roth, Managing Partner Capital Idea

Bahaudin G. Mujtaba, D.B.A., and professor of Management at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was an invited speaker on the topic of “Business Ethics and Cultural Perceptions: Reflections for Socially Responsible Decision-Making,” recently at the Rotary Club of Weston.

There were approximately 100 people in attendance and the presentation was followed by a question and answer session. The Rotary Club emphasizes the “Four-Way Test” to make sure our decisions are ethical. The four criteria are: 1) Is it the truth? 2) Is it fair to all concerned? 3) Will it build goodwill and better friendships? 4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned? These four elements should be the basis of all business decisions in order to make sure we create value for ourselves, our families, our companies and the society in general.

Mujtaba is also co-author of the book entitled “Business Ethics: The Moral Foundation of Leadership, Management, and Entrepreneurship (3rd edition)” published in 2013 by Pearson Publishing.
