Students at the Punta Gorda Campus of the University of Belize (UB), welcomed NSU professor, Albert Williams, Ph.D. onto their campus for a presentation on leadership and finance. In attendance were several members of faculty, staff, and student leaders. Williams discussed the key components of leadership and gave an overview of financing and investing. He also discussed the viability of projects, including profit and non-profit situations.

Additionally, Williams linked leadership with finance by demonstrating how great leaders pick viable projects to create value and improve the lives of many people. This discussion was relevant to members of the community as, the day before, the town board held an election for local leaders.

As part of the conversation, Williams emphasized the idea that leaders can be found all around. He stated that doing things for others and with others is leadership. Student leaders were happy to hear about his experiences as a leader with the Graduate Business Student Association at NSU.

This presentation was organized by the Campus Administrator at UB, Roy Polonio. He believed that Williams’ wealth of knowledge could be beneficial to the people from Williams’ home town of Belize.
