Huizenga Business School Professors Win International Award in Boston
Terrell Manyak, Ph.D., professor of public administration and Bahaudin Mujtaba, D.B.A., professor of management at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, recently won an award along with colleagues from several other countries. The award recognized the professors for their presentation on “Leadership Practices across the Asian, European, African, and North American Economies.”
Researchers involved and featured in the presentation hailed from Japan, China, India, Malaysia, Germany, USA and Vietnam, setting them apart at the Academy of Management (AoM) conference at which there was approximately 11,000 attendees from around the world.
Mujtaba presented at three different sessions at the annual AoM Conference in Boston, MA, held Aug. 3-7. With hundreds of presentations scheduled each day, the competition was fierce. Mujtaba, Manyak and their international colleagues co-presented on the following topics:
* Leadership Practices across the Asian, European, African, and North American Economies. This session, which was coordinated by Dr. Terrell Manyak, was selected as a finalist for the Emerald Best International Symposium Award and it won the award at the Carolyn Dexter Award Reception on Sunday August 5, 2012.
