Huizenga Business School Offers New $100,000 Horatio Alger Scholarship
NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business & Entrepreneurship, along with the Horatio Alger Association, is pleased to announce the Horatio Alger Huizenga Business School Scholarship. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students entering their final two (2) years of study at the Huizenga Business School who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity.
Ten thousand ($10,000.00) dollars will be awarded to ten (10) students completing their final two (2) years of study. The scholarships will be awarded to United States citizens who are residents of the state of Florida. The Horatio Alger Huizenga Business School Scholarship is funded by association member H. Wayne Huizenga, Chairman, Huizenga Holdings, Inc.
The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans is dedicated to the powerful belief that hard work, honesty and determination can conquer all obstacles. Through its members, the association educates the nation’s young people about the economic and personal opportunities afforded them by the promise of the American free enterprise system. Members include: senior vice president, Atlanta Braves, Henry “Hank” Aaron; founder, chairman, and CEO, Chick-fil-A Inc., S. Truett Cathy; Owner, Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group, J.R. Hendrick; chairman, Dancing Bear Investments and Certified Vacations, Michael S. Egan (also a Huizenga Business School Entrepreneur Hall Of Fame member) and many other leaders.
