Huizenga Business School Alumnus Appointed to Professor Position at University of Waterloo
David Alexander, a 2010 D.B.A. alumnus of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, received the prestigious appointment to serve as an Associate Professor at the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre in Canada’s premier technology park/incubator. The Centre forms a part of the University of Waterloo’s world renowned Engineering Department. During the three-year adjunct appointment, Alexander will teach accounting, finance, and strategy courses in a specialized graduate business program for engineers.
The purpose of the program is to help develop leaders who are able to commercialize ideas, discover and exploit new market opportunities, and introduce innovation and disruptive technology in existing organizations. Alexander will also be mentoring students in new ventures and conducting research in corporate governance, specific to entrepreneurship.
In addition to this prestigious appointment, Alexander continues his responsibilities as co-founder and principal at Third Eye Capital, a credit hedge fund manager investing in mid-market companies in Canada and the U.S.
