Huizenga Business School Alumnus, Adjunct Professor Named President Elect

In January, Allen Yessman, a 1992 graduate of the Master of Accounting program and a current adjunct professor of accounting at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, was named President Elect of the Florida Council of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). He has been a member of the IMA since 1983, and as President Elect, will head the organization for the upcoming year.

The IMA, an association of accountants and financial professionals in business, is one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession. IMA has a global network of more than 60,000 members in 120 countries and 200 local chapter communities.

Previously, Yessman served two terms and five years as a member of the Global Board for the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA). The ICMA is responsible for developing policies and procedures for the Certified Management Accounting Exam. He is the only member from South Florida to ever hold a position on this distinguished board.
