FREE Employee Development Workshop – Communicating Through Conflict, May 20
Back by popular demand the Office of Human Resources will be offering this FREE Employee Development Workshop on Tuesday, May 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Carl DeSantis Building, room 1052.
Communicating Through Conflict facilitated by Ronnie Moore
Where there are people, there is conflict. And conflict often occurs and gets worse because communication is poor—or there’s no communication at all. In this four-hour session, you will learn:
- Foundation information: What conflict is, why it occurs, and why it escalates.
- How to identify real conflict versus false conflict, so time and energy can be spent on those conflicts that really need resolution.
- The top four communication skills necessary for effective conflict resolution–especially with challenging people.
- The five conflict strategies and when they can work (and when they can’t).
- To choose the right time to solve conflicts…before objectivity and the chance for long-term resolution are lost.
There are 40 seats available in each workshop and registration is necessary for participation.
Registration is necessary, for more information or to register log-in to sharklink at https://sharklink.nova.edu/cp/home/displaylogin or contact Maureen Simunek-Appelt, at maureens@nova.edu or 954-262-7869.
