Hear Faculty Members’ Music from Beyond the Classroom Recital, Sept. 14
Between preparing for lectures and proctoring exams, the professional musicians who serve as faculty members in the Farquhar College of Arts and Science are practicing their craft, preparing to share their talents outside of the classroom.
On Wednesday, Sept. 14, the college’s Division of Performing and Visual Arts will present a showcase of these talents in Music from Beyond the Classroom: A Joint Faculty Recital. The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m., in the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center, room 309.
Part of the division’s Faculty Series, the evening will feature the performers’ diverse repertoire. Scheduled for the event are selections from Leonard Bernstein, Edward Elgar, Charles Tournemire, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more.
Music from Beyond the Classroom is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required for admission. For more information, contact Jennifer Donelson, D.M.A., assistant professor in the college, at (954) 262-7610.
