Hear from Best-Selling Author Edwin Black, Jan. 20

All NSU students, faculty, and staff members are invited to attend a talk by writer Edwin Black, New York Times best-selling author of 10 books. Black will speak on Jan. 20 from 6-7 p.m. in the Alvin Sherman Library, room 2053. The event is hosted by the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences.

Black will discuss his newest release, British Petroleum and the Red Line Agreement: The West’s Secret Pact to Get Mideast Oil. According to the publisher, Dialog Press, the investigative book “chronicles the international deceit and strong-arm tactics of men, oil companies, and government” and analyzes how the West received oil from the Middle East as part of an agreement signed in 1928.

This event is free and open to the public. A number of Black’s books, including British Petroleum and the Red Line Agreement, will also be available for purchase at the talk. For more information, please contact Marlisa Santos, Ph.D., associate professor and director of the college’s Division of Humanities, at 954- 262-8213.
