HCBE Professor Provides Tips on Paying Down Holiday Debt
The holidays have come and gone. As the New Year begins and we all get back into the daily grind, there’s something ominous looming on the horizon – the bills from all that holiday spending.
While most people try to stick to a budget when buying gifts for friends and loved ones, unfortunately some of us go a bit beyond what we planned on spending. With the advent of online shopping, that can be easier to do as you may not realize how much you have bought – after all, sitting at home clicking a mouse is much different than walking through the mall with handfuls of shopping bags.
If you’re one of the millions who overspent this holiday, fear not! Nova Southeastern University (NSU) associate professor of finance and economics Albert Williams, Ph.D. is here to save the day!
Williams is in NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and he has created an online video series called “Rock-n-Omics” where he provides tips and guidance in all things financial. His latest edition is on Paying Down Debt, which fits perfectly now that the holidays are over and the bill paying season is about to begin.
You can view his latest video on NSU’s Public Affairs YouTube page (https://youtu.be/G2mAsF1EXTo).
