See Demons, Beasts and Gods exposed in new glass and painting exhibition
Organized by the Museum of Art I Fort Lauderdale to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Studio Glass Movement, Primordial: Paintings and Sculpture by Isabel De Obaldía, 1985 – 2011 http://moafl.org/exhibits/deobaldia.html features demons, gods and beasts in a mid-career retrospective of the work of Panama-based artist Isabel De Obaldía. The exhibition remains on view through May 27, 2012. Admission is free for university faculty/students/staff with current college IDs.

The Art of Wine and Food welcomes wine expert Lyn Farmer, Oct. 27

A Sense of Place” James Beard Award-winning wine writer, art lover and local celebrity Lyn Farmer takes you on a tasteful tour showing how wines differ depending on where they are made. You’ll taste how two grapes, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, taste quite different depending on where they are grown. Globe-trotting grapes are at the heart of our wine tasting with Lyn Farmer. Certified Sommelier and wine educator Stephanie Miskew, author of The Glamorous Gourmet, hosts this program from the Art of Wine and Food Series of the Museum of Art | Fort Lauderdale, on Thursday, Oct. 27, 6-7:30 pm. This evening includes a selection of fine wines and hors d’oeuvres.  Admission is $35 per person.  Reservations are required.  To RSVP, please call Gail Vilone at (954) 262-0249 or at gvilone@moafl.org.
