Halmos Students, Faculty, and Staff Participate in 4th Annual Marine Industries Day
On June 17, Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography participated in the 4th annual Marine Industries Day at Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale. The college had three booths at the event: Educational Outreach, the Kid’s Zone Marine Science, and the Broward County Sea Turtle conservation program.
Marine Industry Day is a family-oriented event aimed at celebrating the region’s marine industry through a variety of fun, interactive experiences. Featuring live music, food trucks, children’s activities, numerous marine-related activities, water taxi tours, educational games and much more. This year over 3,000 people attended the event.
