Halmos Student wins Honorable Mention in Underwater Photography Contest
Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography student Adam Eurbin was awarded Honorable Mention in the Southeast Florida Underwater Photography Contest for his photograph “Surface Snappers”. Eurbin in the marine biology program, will receive a Certificate of Achievement and be recognized at the Friends of Our Florida Reefs evening reception on Wednesday, August 9 at the Gug Underwater Gallery, 1519 E. Commercial Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. This event is part of the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force Meeting that will be taking place from August 7-11 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Mr. Eurbin took the photo at Sombrero Reef in the Florida Keys during his undergraduate Oceanography class’ weekend travel study to Pigeon Key. The photo will be featured in the 2018 Southeast Florida Underwater Photography Contest Calendar.
