Halmos Mathematician Keynote Speaker in Kiev, Ukraine

This January, Halmos assistant dean and professor of mathematics Matthew He, Ph.D. braved the cold in Kiev, Ukraine and presented the keynote address at First International Conference on Computer Science, Engineering and Education Applications (ICCSEEA 2018). Dr He’s keynote speech was titled, “The Landscape and Grand Challenges of Scientific Computing”. The talk covered the key elements of computing foundation, current development and landscape of computer, and the challenges in scientific computing research and its applications.

The conference was organized jointly by National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and the International Research Association of Modern Education and Computer Science. Held in Kiev, Ukraine, the ICCSEEA2018 brought together the top researchers from Asian Pacific Nations, North America, Europe, and around the world to exchange their research results and address open issues in Computer Science, Engineering and Education Applications.
