Halmos College Sponsors 3 in 1 Medical Workshop with Alumni
On October 14, Halmos faculty members Deanne Roopnarine, D.P.M. and Mark Jaffe, D.P.M. hosted a three in one medical workshop. Undergraduate students learned about prescription writing, vital signs, and how to take a medical history. Alumni and students from the College of Pharmacy and the College of Osteopathic Medicine assisted in the training.
Students from the pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-SOMA clubs participated in the workshop. Along with learning vital aspects of working in the health professions, students brought canned goods and toiletries to donate to the victims of Hurricane Irma. Drs. Jaffe and Roopnarine host this type of workshop twice a year.
