Halmos College Co-Hosts International Conference

During March 26-28, Halmos College co-hosted the BIT’s 11th Annual World Protein and Peptide Conference 2018. Held in Miami, Florida, Halmos College assistant dean Matthew He, Ph.D. moderated the keynote forum. The second day, Reza Razeghifard, Ph.D., chair of the Halmos College Department of Chemistry and Physics chaired the “Idea Lab for the Next Generation Explorers”. Dr. Razeghifard also gave a talk entitled, “Photochemistry of Zn-chlorophyll Analogues Bound to Synthetic Peptides”.

PepCon-2018 consists of specialized scientific programs, tailored to highlight the latest and most exciting discoveries in diverse areas of protein & peptide research and will provide a unique opportunity for researchers worldwide to meet, network, and forge new scientific interactions. The conference was co-hosted by Florida Atlantic University’s Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and Center for Molecular Biology/Biotechnology. Over 300 participants from approximately 40 countries and regions worldwide attended the conferences. World leading experts, scholars and executives presented their latest research and discussed the hot topics and frontier technologies in the field of protein & peptide science and analytical science.
