Kicking off on Wednesday, October 24, NSU’s Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography is announcing the 2019 NSU Scholarship Fishing Tournament.  On the 24th, we invite people interested in the tournament to a Pre-Fishing Tournament Reception at Lauderdale Yacht Club from 5:30 to 7:30PM.

Prior to the tournament, there will be a Captain’s Meeting and Reception Party on Thursday evening Jan. 10, 2019 at NSU’s Ocean Campus. The offshore fishing tournament will begin on Saturday, January 12, with lines in at 7AM. The weigh-in is at 3pm at Pier 66 followed by the awards party and reception.

Please visit our website for more information on how to enter, be sponsor, or supporter of the tournament (http://www.nova.edu/fishingtournament). Net proceeds from Tournament donations create the endowed NSU Fishing Tournament Scholarship Fund. These scholarships attract, retain, encourage, and support high achieving and productive marine students at Halmos College who are engaged in outstanding research.
