Guerra Earns National All-Freshman Honors
Men’s golfer Juan Jose Guerra
Nova Southeastern University men’s golfer Juan Jose Guerra was named by the Golf Coaches Association of America to the 2016 Division II All-Freshman Team.
Guerra (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) ended his debut campaign as the Sharks’ second lowest scorer (73.73) and had four top-10 finishes. He was the 30th-ranked golfer in all of DII across all classes, and the third-highest freshman on the head-to-head list.
He joins three other Sunshine State Golfers on the team in Hugo Bernard of Saint Leo and Niclas Weiland from Barry. Rounding out the squad is West Florida rookie Jacob Huizinga and Matt Hutchins of Chico State.
