Green Sharks Student Sustainability Club to Host Candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture, Nov. 2
On Friday, November 2 from 12-1, the Green Shark Student Sustainability Club is hosting Nikki Fried, Candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture for the Sustainability 101 Lecture Series. Candidate Fried will speak about the office of the Commissioner of Agriculture and how it contributes to sustainability. This is a great opportunity for students to learn from a leader in the field.
This event will be held in the Alvin Sherman Library 2nd Floor Gallery. Food will be provided.
Please note that this is not a campaign event or political rally. It is an educational event organized by the Green Sharks.
The “Green Sharks” student sustainability club’s purpose is to educate students, staff, and faculty of what sustainability means and to advocate for sustainability actions on campus. Halmos College faculty member J. Matt Hoch, Ph.D. is co-advisor to the group.
