Green Sharks Encourage All Sharks to Vote!
Every Monday through October 9, you will find the “Green Sharks” in the Don Taft University Center spine helping faculty, and staff register to vote. One Monday, September 24, representatives from the Broward Supervisor of Elections came to help. This is especially important since it was announced recently that the NSU Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus will be an early voting site.
The “Green Sharks” student sustainability club’s purpose is to educate students, staff, and faculty of what sustainability means and to advocate for sustainability actions on campus. Huizinga College of Business faculty member Dr. Abraham is the club’s advisor. Halmos College faculty member J. Matt Hoch, Ph.D. is assisting the students in setting up the registration process.
Early voting will take place in Broward County from October 22 through November 4. Registered voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballot in the Carl DeSantis Building in rooms 1048 and 1049 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. during the early voting period.
