Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences to Host Networking Session for 501 Tech Club & Cloud Security Alliance Meeting, Sept. 19
Nova Southeastern University’s Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS), a co-sponsor of the Nonprofit Technology Network’s Ft. Lauderdale-Miami 501 Tech Club, and the Cloud Security Alliance of South Florida (CSA), will be hosting a networking session on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m., followed by the monthly CSA and 501 Tech Club meetings.
GSCIS Assistant Professor James Parrish, Ph.D. will be presenting, “Putting Students’ Heads in the Cloud While Keeping their Feet on the Ground” at the CSA meeting. Cloud computing is increasingly becoming an important part of IT strategies for organizations. Parrish will be discussing the GSCIS’s efforts to educate students in cloud computing. The 501 Tech Club will have Bryce Kerley as a speaker, who will introduce the audience to the building blocks of the web, and demonstrate a few ways to quickly build a presence online.
The networking session will be held on the fourth floor of the Carl DeSantis building on NSU’s main campus. Join us to network with IT industry leaders and professionals, and learn about the exciting initiatives taking place at GSCIS. RSVP’s are welcome at https://chapters.cloudsecurityalliance.org/south-florida/events/ for the CSA meeting and at http://linkd.in/RDveVP for the 501 Tech Club.
