Gittings Earns SSC Women’s Golfer of the Week

Nova Southeastern’s Abbey Gittings (Jr., Tamworth, England), the No. 1 women’s golfer in NCAA Division-II, has been named Sunshine State Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office.
Gittings tied for second of 67 golfers at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational in Beallsville, Md. With her team as the lone D-II representative in the D-I-heavy tournament, Gittings fired a three-round score of 226 (75-78-73), just three strokes behind the medalist. Her efforts helped the Sharks tie for second in the 11-team field. Click here to read the complete release.
