Fun in the Sun Scholarship 5k Run, June 7
The “Fun in the Sun Scholarship 5k Run” will be held on NSU’s Fort Lauderdale-Davie campus. The 5K will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the quad in front of the NSU Alvin Sherman Library. There will also be a virtual 5k for NSU’s regional campuses.
The “Fun in the Sun Scholarship 5k Run” is a new tradition put on by NSU’s College of Health Care Sciences and its Scholarship Fund Raising Committee.

If you are unable to attend and would like to make a donation, please log on to: https://www.nova.edu/webforms/chcs/5k-race/donate.html.
For those on regional campuses or who are otherwise unable to physically participate on the day of the race, Saturday, June 7, you can sign up for a “virtual 5k” in which you record a walk or run on or before June 7. Then the record of the race is sent to Kevin Kunkel, Ph.D., event chair. The race is open to everyone who wants to participate including friends, family, colleagues and other acquaintances.
As a result of our prior efforts, we will be awarding our first two scholarships this month (May 2014). Through events such as this and the efforts of our college members and community we hope to award many more in the future.
Please Note: When Students register please identify the class year that you will be in at the time of the race on Saturday, June 7 even if you will be performing a virtual 5k prior to that date. REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED BY SATURDAY, MAY 24 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR FREE RACE/PICNIC SHIRT BY RACE DAY.
