Free VPK to 4 and 5 Year Olds at the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development

mmThe Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program – or VPK – is a free prekindergarten program for 4 and 5-year-olds who reside in Florida. Voluntary Prekindergarten or VPK gives children a jump start by preparing them for school and enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. By developing the skills children need to become strong readers and students at an early age, children are more likely to be successful in school. VPK classrooms offer high-quality programs that include high literacy standards, developmentally appropriate curricula, manageable class sizes, and qualified teachers. Extended care is available at an additional cost.

The program is located on Nova Southeastern University main campus in Davie at the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development.

If you have a child or know a child who would benefit from enrolling in a highly structured enriched program that successfully develops social and academic skills, please contact Maria Watsky at 954 262 7156 ma672@nova.edu or Tammy Gipps 954 262 7149 wardgipp@nova.edu.
