Free Summer Classes at the Lifelong Learning Institute

The Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) is opening its doors for free during the summer months to any mature adult who would like to experience university level ‘learning for fun.’ A fixture in South Florida since 1977, the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) serves the educational interests and needs of the growing experienced older adult and retirement community in Broward County. A part of the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the LLI is located on the Davie campus of Nova Southeastern University.

LLI members attend an extensive program of lectures, workshops, discussion groups and field trips. According to annual surveys, LLI members favor class topics including: music, history and current events. A fitness program, run by NSU fitness instructors, is offered in the LLI classroom two afternoons a week for a small fee. Classes are taught by NSU faculty members, peer leaders, and prominent visiting experts. Many speakers, faculty and guests, come for a single event, while others come for a short series.

The LLI summer program runs through Sept. 22 with classes Tuesday – Thursday, 10:00 -11:30 a.m.  For more information call 954-262-8471, email lli@nova.edu or visit www.medicine.nova.edu/lli
