Free Six Sigma Training for NSU Employees, Aug. 25

Back by popular demand, Nova Southeastern University’s Office of Human Resources will host a free Six Sigma workshop for employees on Thursday, Aug. 25.  The workshop will be held in the University Park Plaza North Building, room 108.

The program, Lean Six Sigma White Belt, facilitated by Frank Voehl, M.Ed., D.P.A., an NSU professor who is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Strategy Associates, Inc., will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  This 4-hour workshop program has been designed to provide the core concepts of Lean Six Sigma with a focus on Lean practices and quality improvement tools. Application-oriented White Belt training makes it easy for people to question how things get done within their “line-of-sight”. Participants will be introduced to the DMAIC methodology: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control, as well as receive training in the problem solving methods and tools used to enhance their fundamental quality skills and their application of common sense.  The program is taught with small group interaction and hands-on exercises.

Seating is limited and this workshop fills up quickly.  You can reserve your spot now by registering online at http://www.nova.edu/cwis/hrd/training/index.html .  For questions, contact Maureen Simunek-Appelt, M.B.A.,learning manager at NSU’s Office of Human Resources, at maureens@nova.edu or 954-262-7869 .
