Frazier-Wong Appointed Head Rowing Coach
Nova Southeastern Director of Athletics Michael Mominey announced that Stephen Frazier-Wong has been named head coach of the NSU women’s rowing program. Frazier-Wong becomes the third head coach since the program began in 2004.
“I am proud to welcome Stephen as the newest member to our coaching staff,” Mominey said. “He brings a wealth of experience in building competitive crews and student-athlete development to NSU. We look forward to him building on the competitive tradition that has already been established and taking the Sharks rowing program to the next level.”
“I am excited to become a part of such a dynamic institution as Nova Southeastern University,” Frazier-Wong said. “I look forward to working with our exceptional student-athletes, coaches, staff and faculty as we strive to achieve excellence in the classroom and on the water.”
Frazier-Wong comes to NSU after seven years at UNC-Chapel Hill. He started out as an assistant coach in 2005 working primarily with the Tar Heels novice crew. In 2009, he was promoted to associate head coach. Frazier-Wong also assisted with the Carolina Rowing summer camps while at Chapel Hill. Click here to read the complete release.
