NSU along with several college and university campuses in downtown Fort Lauderdale will join forces to increase awareness of higher educational opportunities in the area. NSU, Broward College, Florida Atlantic University (FAU), the Lingua Center at Broward College, and NSU’s Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale will host a “Block Party” on Thursday, Nov. 14, between Andrews and 2nd Ave. on Las Olas Blvd., in downtown Fort Lauderdale from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The public is invited to come and meet with representatives from each of the institutions, and take tours of campus facilities, including: the AutoNation Academy of Art and Design at NSU Museum of Art; Broward College’s Willis Holcombe Center and the Lingua Center at Broward College; FAU’s School of Architecture, its new MetroLAB exhibition space, and its College of Business; and tour the current exhibitions at NSU’s Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale. Academic, life long learning, and continuing education advisors will be on hand to answer admission questions and provide information on available programs and offerings.

“NSU Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale is delighted to be part of the Block Party, and we invite the entire community to come discover the wonderful educational offerings that are available in Downtown Fort Lauderdale,” said Bonnie Clearwater, director and chief curator of NSU’s Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale.  “This is a great opportunity to speak with instructors, tour our facilities and learn about the exciting programs and courses available.”

There will be food trucks, entertainment, music, and much more! The event will also include opportunities to win an Apple iPad, a color printer, membership to NSU’s Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, and special drawing prizes.

The Block Party is supported by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and the Downtown Fort Lauderdale Civic Association. Join in on the fun and come discover what learning is all about!

Hope to see you there!
