Former Shark Promoted to Orlando Pride Soccer Team Active Roster

Former Nova Southeastern University women’s soccer star Sierra Lelii has been promoted to the active roster of the professional Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League.

Ahead of Sunday, July 10 win over the Boston Breakers, Lelii was added along with three other players to help offset the temporary loss of six Pride starters to their respective Olympic teams. Though Lelii did not appear in the match, the Pride (6-6-0) took a 2-1 victory to move into a fourth-place tie with the Chicago Red Stars, with each squad currently totaling 18 points.

The next opportunity for Lelii to make her professional debut will be at home this upcoming Saturday when the Pride hosts those same Red Stars at 7:30 p.m. at Camping World Stadium. Following that is two straight road matches, at the Seattle Reign (July 23 at 10 p.m. EST) and a rematch with Boston (July 31 at 6:00).

Lelii is wearing No. 24 with the Pride. Her callup was announced here – http://www.orlandocitysc.com/post/2016/07/08/match-preview-orlando-pride-target-three-points-against-boston-sunday – with the following bio information:
