Former MLB All Star Cliff Floyd Donates to Scholarship Fund at NSU Hoops Game.

Former Major League Baseball All Star Cliff Floyd has donated to the scholarship fund for the Nova Southeastern University Sport and Recreation Management program during halftime of Wednesday, Feb. 18 men’s basketball game.

Floyd presented a $6,000 check for the second year in a row to the program in support of scholarships. Floyd presented to NSU Sport and Recreation Management faculty members: Assistant Dean Peter Finley, Associate Professor Jeffrey Fountain and Professor Nancy Olson. Undergraduate student Tiffany Kelly and graduate student Sean Smith, the two recipients of the scholarship this year, were also present, alongside volleyball student-athlete Candice Johnson (Sr., Chuluota, Fla.). Johnson is currently in an internship for the third annual Cliff Floyd Charity Bowling Tournament, being held April 19.
