FORE!!! Campus Recreation Summer Golf League begins May 5
The summer is almost here and that means it is time to begin thinking about playing golf and participating in the NSU Campus Recreation Golf League!
We are pleased to be able to offer to all students, faculty, staff and affiliates of NSU the opportunity to play in our annual Summer Golf League! Play will begin on Thursday, May 5 and run for nine (9) consecutive Thursdays through June 30. We will play this year’s summer league at the Jacaranda Golf Club in Plantation.*
The league registration fee is $10 for all golfers. Weekly tee times begin as early as 3:00 p.m. The weekly greens fee is $25 for those teeing off between 3:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. and $20 for those teeing off after 4:00 p.m. To learn more about the Jacaranda Golf Club, please visit www.golfjacaranda.com.
League play will consist of scores shot on the first 9 holes played each week. Players are welcomed to play more holes at no additional charge. League play is flighted based upon a players average nine-hole score. If you do not have a nine-hole average, we will establish an average for you after you have played three times and flight you accordingly.
You may play as often as you like but will need to post 6 scores to be eligible for end-of-season awards. At the conclusion of this league on June 30, we will hold an end-of-the-league party, where all awards will be distributed. Please plan to attend the awards party at 7 pm in the Jacaranda Lounge.
Each Monday, we will send out an e-mail asking you to confirm your attendance for the current week’s play and your preferred tee time. Each Wednesday, we will send out a list of tee times for the week, so you know exactly what time you will be playing. We always try to honor your tee time requests as best we can. If you have other people that you wish to play with, please let us know and we will plan accordingly.
The NSU Summer Golf League is a great way to relax, meet, and mingle with your colleagues and friends at NSU. Of course, the bottom line is for everyone to have a great time!
