Fischler School Staff Member Receives Zeta of the Year Award for Community Service
Lois Lee, professional development coordinator for the National Institute for Educational Options at Abraham S. Fischler School of Education, was recently honored during the 69th Community Fellowship Awards Luncheon given by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Beta Tau Zeta Graduate Chapter. Lee received the Zeta of the Year Award at the luncheon, which celebrated Finer Womanhood. Lee, who currently serves as the First vice President of the Miami Chapter, is also a doctoral student at the Fischler School with a concentration in Higher Education.
The Finer Womanhood celebration is a Sorority hallmark which began in 1923. Unique to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Finer Womanhood celebrations around the globe emphasize the standards, morals, customs, and attributes of fine young ladies, community and Sorority members. Local programming is organized throughout the Finer Womanhood celebration to encourage re-dedication to sorority ideals, increase community consciousness, and empower its citizens. Finer Womanhood month is celebrated the last week of February through the entire month of March.
Congratulations to Lois on her recognition for community service and leadership.
