Fischler School Hosts Congress of Latin American University Presidents
The Latin American Institute for Educational Leadership (ILALE) based at NSU recently held its first annual congress for Latin American University Presidents (Rectors) during NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education Summer Conference in Orlando.
The July event was a success; 22 Rectors from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru participated.
The main topics covered during the congress were: Accreditation, Certification, and Development. Fischler School Dean H. Wells Singleton, Ph.D., also hosted a lunch for the participants during which he asked them to commit their time and efforts to work with NSU in leading an initiative to further develop the standards of higher education in Latin America.
