Fischler School of Education and the Jamaican Teachers Association Co-sponsor Professional Development Workshops
Faculty members from NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education, in collaboration with the Jamaica Ministry of Education and the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA), recently launched the NSU-JTA Advanced Professional Seminars program. The program offers a certificate-based professional development experience for educators who serve students at all levels of education throughout Jamaica.
The first two seminars, among a series of six to be presented, were conducted at the offices of the JTA located in Kingston, Jamaica. Each professional seminar involves an intense, 20-hour hands-on workshop. The two initial seminars were delivered by Audrey Henry, Sidi Lakhdar, David Griffin, and Mickie McGuire.
