Fischler School Co-Hosting International Child and Youth Care Conference

NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services is co-hosting the 2009 International Child and Youth Care Conference at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale from May 26-29.

This triennial event, entitled “Global Warning,” will focus on the children, youth and families in the Child Welfare System, and aims to provide participants with the tools needed to reach and impact this at-risk demographic.

The conference will host numerous presenters from around the globe who will discuss topics such as:

  • Substance Abuse
  • Cultural Competence/Diversity
  • Internet – Abuse Child Pornography
  • Research and Training Initiatives
  • Advocacy & Public Policy
  • Dealing with Aggression Issues
  • Child and Youth Development

Conference registration costs vary from just $75 for pre-registration for participation in Educators & Trainers Day, up to $425 for non-member registration for the full conference.
