Fischler College of Education (FCE) Graduate Publishes Journal Article
Dr. Ellen Driber-Hassall, Ed.D., graduate of NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education (FCE) has recently published an article with her business partner in the Journal of Aging and Social Change, V9, 11, 2018, Identification of Older Adult Barriers to Activity. The article discusses how the researchers began to identify older adult barriers to activity. Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, they were able to expand the knowledge of and awareness concerning barriers to activity older adults may face in the course of their daily lives. The research may be of value to those working with this population, decision makers, and older adults themselves.
Ellen completed a 20 year career as an administrator in higher education. She and her business partner have created and presented numerous national and international seminars on gerontological topics. Additionally she served in the Air Force for 13 years as an aircraft maintenance officer.
Ellen earned her doctorate of education with FCE in 2014
