NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education (FCE) and a team of students from College Academy, a combined high school college program at Broward College, worked together to research best practices for developing a college student council, a project initiated by Dean Durham.

The team of College Academy students in the picture, had already worked with FCE on another project (My Favorite Teacher) earlier in the year, and were asked to return for this venture, which was coordinated and supervised by, Chloe Behar, an elementary education major at FCE.

The College Academy reviewed 40 universities from 20 states, and on July 19th they delivered their findings to Dean Durham on the NSU Ft. Lauderdale/Davie campus.  The student council would serve as the voice of the Fischler College undergraduate students, and perform special projects, for the college and within the community.
