Fischler Alumnus Named Leader of AACC
Will Austin, Ed.D., a graduate of the Higher Education Leadership program at the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education, and current president of Warren County Community College, has been named the Chairman of the American Association of Community College’s President’s Academy.
The Academy, the leading national organization for established and new community college presidents, spearheads educational, development, and guidance opportunities as college executives keep up with trends in the industry. Every July, the Academy hosts its Summer Institute, where college presidents from around the country gather to hear about timely issues of concern and ways to keep up with ever-changing educational models and strategies.
Dr. Austin, the current Vice Chair, is the coordinator for this year’s Institute, which takes place in Austin, TX July 18-21. He will officially take over as the new Chair on July 1 and will continue in that role through June 30, 2016.
