Fischler School Adjunct Published by Education Law Association
Robert J. Safransky, Ph.D., adjunct professor of school law and American government at NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services, recently published an article entitled, “Everything You Wanted to Know about Muslim Students, But Did Not Know To Ask!” in the July 2010 issue of the Education Law Association’s ELA Notes.
The idea for the article grew out of an experience at a faculty retreat, where Safransky asked a colleague to go to lunch, but the colleague declined because he was observing Ramadan. This led to Safransky learning more about the Muslim culture, and to a presentation proposal for the Education Law Association’s annual conference in 2009, as well as the article.
Safransky began teaching School Law for Administrators at NSU in Tampa in 1990. For more information about the ELA, please visit http://educationlaw.org/.
