FCE Undergrads Interview Gregory Stiber for My Favorite Teacher Project

FCE Undergrads Interview Gregory Stiber for My Favorite Teacher Project.

NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education (FCE) undergraduate students, Lauren Santana, Chloe Behar, and Sherilynn Soto recently interviewed Gregory Stiber, Ed.D., NSU’s Executive Director, Licensure and State Relations, as part of the students’ My Favorite Teacher project.

The goal of the My Favorite Teacher project is to interview 5,000 people around the world asking who their favorite teacher is/was and what made them so.  The students want to understand the qualities that make a favorite teacher so they can develop and incorporate them into their teaching style before they have their first classroom.

Stiber, who has 25 years of experience here at NSU in a variety of positions, including teaching, provided a wealth of knowledge and humorous anecdotes of life in an education environment.  In the end, he shared that his favorite teacher was Warren Groff, Ed.D., a Fischler College of Education professor he had while in the doctoral program.  He said Groff was clearly an expert in the subject matter but was approachable and taught with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
